Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Open Call for 2009-2010 Workspace Studio Residencies

LMCC announces it's Workspace studio residency program in Lower Manhattan for emerging visual artists and writers focussed on the creative process.

Addressed to: emerging and early-career professional artists and writers (including international artists and writers and collaboratives pairsof no more than two (2) people working in all disciplines:

Visual artists: can apply in Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Film/Video/Installation/Mixed Media, Sound, Performace and New Media/Computer Arts.

Writers: can apply in Fiction, Non-Fiction, Playwriting/Screenwriting, and Poetry.

Benefits: free studio space within a larger, shared space with 24/7 access, a modest one-time stipend (depending on funding), access to a community of peers, meetings and studio visits with arts and literary professionals, and exposure to new audiences through open studios and other public programs.

Period: 9 months (September 2009 - May 2010)

Location: 29th Floor of the historic Equitable Building at 120 Broadway in the financial district.
