The MacDowell Colony, located in Peterborough, New Hampshire, was founded in 1907 by composer Edward MacDowell and Marian MacDowell, his wife, and was the first artist colony in the United States. Over 6,000 artists have been awarded fellowships to the Colony and more than 250 artists arrive each year.
Addressed to: emerging and established artists from around the world.
Disciplines: architecture, film/video arts, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts.
Application deadlines (Artists may apply once every 12 months)
